Service Dog and Therapy Dog Work
I have begun introductory Service Dog training for some of my Yorkie and Pugshire puppies. Service Dogs and Therapy Dogs need to be calm and gentle, have a biddable nature and they need to be intelligent, brave, outgoing and in tune with their human. Many dogs do this naturally, so one just needs to tap into their instinctive capabilities to train them for this work. Early training is important for transition into service or therapy work.

A Yorkie or Pugshire service dog is specifically trained to help people with disabilities. Those disabilities may include hearing impairments, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), seizures, mental illness, diabetes, autism, and more. My Yorkies and Pugshires excel as therapy dogs because of their sweet, gentle natures.
